God’s Loving Hedge

12.25.08

“Have you not surrounded him and his family and all that he has with your protection?” (Job 1:10).

It is God’s love that puts a hedge about us; it is our choice to wander away from that love which constrains us from doing harm to ourselves and others; to wander beyond the security that He has lovingly determined for us. Sometimes we want to do something and yet we know instinctively that it would be wrong. Our conscience is one of God’s hedges to warn us that certain actions, reactions and transactions are against His goals for us, goals that are in God’s best interests as well as our own. He asks us to define that word hedge as a refuge, not as a prison.

It is that master of deceit, Satan, who suggests that God has put this enclosure around us. He started in the Garden of Eden, when he said, “Did not God say…?” It is a fact that God protects us and it is a fact that the Adversary is busy tearing down the border and exposing us, always. It is our decision to circumvent God’s hedge or to accept its boundaries of love for us, through prayer and the diligent reading of His instructions that are in His Word to us.

“There is many a hedge that we have hardly ever noticed, and certainly have never properly valued. God has given some of us a hedge in the example and teaching of good and pious parents; in the influence of good teachers; in the form of good companionships; in the discipline we have to undergo in the home, in the school, and in life. A hedge not only shelters, it often keeps us from wandering. Sometimes we do not like hedges; we should like to see more of the country, and wander at will. God’s way of hedging us in is not always by sending us blessings which we are pleased to accept, but sometimes by sending us sorrow and trial. He thus keeps us in our places and guards us against going astray. That was the kind of hedge that Job did not like. The farmer sometimes plants thorns in his hedges, and we must not be surprised if God does. After all, a hedge may become a very lovely thing. What would the landscape often be without hedges? God makes the hedges along the country full of beauty, poetry, and song. And in our lives here, this is just what the Lord Jesus has done. The old Law of Moses was like a stone hedge. The hedges of the Lord Jesus are like our quick-set hedges. He makes His commandments sweet and welcome, and the ways of His testimonies full of delight. It is the love of Christ constrains us, and that is always a sweet constraint.” (David Davies.)

The prodigal son broke through the hedges of his father’s love and wound up in a far country of sorrow. Thank God that he finally said, “I will arise and return to my father.” This broken son realized that his father’s hedges were protection and salvation. Young people resent being “told what to do” but, in the final analysis, parents, teachers and companions, if they walk with God, are the beautiful hedges so these dear young people can realize their potential.

Gambling - How To Spot Online Scams

12.24.08

How to be Smart with Gambling Scams

With the advent of technological advancements, people can find ways on how to do things differently. The problem is that some of these things do more harm than good.

One of the greatest problems brought about by technology these days are the scams. This is because with high-tech gadgets, most scammers can easily identify the information that they need so as to get hold of a person’s bank account, credit card, etc.

One great example of scams is those that are used in gambling. These fraudulent activities are so prevalent in gambling, especially online-gambling because a lot of people want to earn money. They are so hooked up with earning money that they tend to neglect areas that needs careful analysis.

People who fall easily as prey are those who are vulnerable to ads that states about easy money, sure win, or higher chances of winning.

However, there are still ways to deal with these problems. The bottom line is to identify which gambling activity is fraudulent or not.

Here’s how:

1. People should learn to assess things whenever somebody is pushy about a certain thing. Chances are, if they are so pushy, they want to get what they want whatever the case may be. It’s like giving their victim a “now or never” ultimatum.

If a certain gambling activity claims it can’t wait until the next day, chances are, that activity is a scam.

2. Surveys show that when a certain gambling activity is offering lots of money in a short span of time for just a small fee, there is a higher probability that it is a scam.

The bottom line is that, if it looks and sounds too good to be true, chances are it is a scam.

3. If certain rules and regulations are too vague to be understood, chances are, it may be a scam. This is because scammers will usually not lay down all the facts. They have hidden agenda or costs that will reap more money once they get their victim on the hook.

4. A gambling deal that would offer something for nothing is definitely a scam. In most cases, people get something without giving in return…at first. What’s more, they even give people a money-back guarantee, which may sound so enticing but all the more it is just like that, an enticement.

So, for people who fall to these kinds of situations, it would be better to be wary next time around. As they say, a person will never know what a scam is unless he knows how to spot one.

What is a Probate Court?

12.24.08

Probate court is the division of the court that usually deals with estates, wills, and the assets left behind when a person dies. Probate court records are extensive and full of interesting information not only about the people you deal with everyday, but also about people that lived before you were born.

If you are interested in researching your family roots, a perusal of probate court records will prove to be invaluable. Probate court records can tell you all the things about your great grandparents that your own parents might not have known. You can often learn about marriages, divorces, and even lawsuits that they may have been involved in. Probate court records deal with your ancestors’ estates and that could help you in your research by giving you clues to properties that your family owned. Once you have the information about property that probate court records provide, you can start to search census reports that you would have never found. Probate court records can sometimes tell you if any of your family members were adopted or ever went under different names.

Probate court records are more than just a way to research the past. The information contained in probate court records can be put to use in your everyday life. With a quick search through probate court records, you can learn exactly what your rich great aunt left to your parents, who the executor of her will was, and how much money she really had. You can even research if the will was contested and who it was contested by.

Probate court records can help you to learn the truth about someone when you think that they are being less than forward with information. If you are suspicious about the claims of someone you just met, a search through probate court records could confirm your suspicions. A simple search of a few probate court documents could tell you everything you need to know about an inheritance that someone claims to have received. It can also give you information about the exact contents of an estate, or the exact dimensions of a property you are considering for purchase.

You can even search through probate court records to find out if someone has ever gone by a different name or who their family members are. A will often names many members of a family as beneficiaries, so researching probate court records could give you clues to family members you didn’t know a person had.

Probate court keeps extensive records of information that is not only interesting, but could prove to be very valuable. When you are looking for background information on an individual, probate court records are a great place to begin your search.

I have rights!

Nature’s Rights…

Terry Dashner (www.ffcba.com)

What provided the basis for America’s liberty? You might be surprised to know, but America’s concept of liberty and equal justice before the law were concepts that went back to the glorious days of Rome.

In short natural law provided the basis for liberty, and natural law–as understood by our forefathers–was used by the Romans as a basis for a legal system with which to govern people in different countries, which they conquered.

The idea of natural law was not new to our forefathers of the 18th century. Nor was it new to the 17th century. It had come to the fore in ancient Rome, had been greatly revived in the High Middle Ages, and philosophers and thinkers began to focus on it increasingly in the 17th century. The division of Christendom after the Protestant Reformation may have provided the impetus for this renewed interest. Men turned to natural law in the quest for a new basis of unity in a European civilization no longer held together by a common faith in the Roman Catholic Church.

You see if the Romans were to rule diverse peoples justly, they had to do so on the basis of something broader than customs, traditions, and laws of the people so governed. What they hit upon were the natural laws, the laws that apply to people everywhere if they would have order and security, the natural laws of justice. After the Enlightenment period sprang up in Western Europe in the 17th century, natural laws came to refer to all those regularities that are to be found in the universe, in the nature of man, the lower animals, plants, and which apply to the behavior of all natural objects.

So when we read the Declaration of Independence, it’s no accident that the words “nature” and “nature’s law” are used with expressive meaning, especially to the sages of that day. The authors of the greatest document ever written were writing about the very essence of man when culture, tradition, and social-economic standings were eliminated. As man stood raw before his Creator, he was endowed with certain basic rights that could not be denied him by government, tyranny, or another man. Man’s rights are God given rights.

I wonder if the ACLU has been advised of this basic premise of Western Civilization? Why do I say that? I say it because there seems to be a move by the pundits and so called protectors of the First Amendment to argue otherwise. It seems the history they want to write for the West, specifically for America, is a history revised. They want us to believe that our forefathers wanted nothing to do with mixing God and government. But the facts are that America was and has always been a nation who recognizes the utter need of God’s Providence in the affairs and, especially, the fair government of men. Pastor T.

Wisconsin Lemon Law

12.21.08

Lemon law in Wisconsin applies both to purchased and leased vehicles. In the event that the car you purchased turns out to be a lemon as defined by Wisconsin lemon law, the manufacturer is obliged to either replace the vehicle free of charge or provide you with a full refund (minus the amortization allowance for accrued mileage).

It should be noted that lemon laws in the United States differ from state to state and therefore the specific provisions of the Wisconsin lemon law may not be entirely applicable to the lemon law in Ohio, Texas or Missouri. Therefore, while this article deals primarily with lemon law in Wisconsin, it should be understood that you should consult with the specific provisions lemon law in your own state before seeking compensation.

Wisconsin lemon law defines a vehicle as a “lemon” if the defect in the car has prevented you from using the vehicle for at least 30 days (not necessarily consecutive). Alternatively, a vehicle is also defined as a “lemon” if the malfunction cannot be fixed after four attempts by the dealer. In order to be eligible for seeking restitution under Wisconsin lemon law, your case must meet the following criteria:

  1. The vehicle must purchased or leased in Wisconsin
  2. The vehicle must be a motorcycle, motor home, car or truck
  3. The vehicle began exhibiting signs of malfunction within the first year after purchase
  4. The vehicle began exhibiting signs of malfunction before the warranty expired
  5. The vehicle’s defects seriously impair the vehicle’s use, safety or value
  6. Within the first year and before the warranty expired, the dealer either failed to repair the defect after making four attempts, or the vehicle was out of order for at least 30 days (not necessarily consecutive) due to these defects

Wisconsin lemon law differentiates between minor and major malfunctions - in order to be eligible for compensation under the local lemon law, your vehicle must have a serious malfunction that is also covered by the warranty. On the bright side, Wisconsin lemon law does not set a specific deadline within which your claim must be filed - instead, it is up to the court to decide whether your case is too old to be accepted or not.

If you feel that you may have a lemon on your hands and would like to pursue your case in accordance with Wisconsin lemon law, consulting with an attorney is probably the best thing you can do if contacting the manufacturer directly fails. To ensure that you have sufficient evidence to substantiate your legal claim, make sure that you always keep receipts of repair orders, even if no actual repairs have been made.

Business Innovation - Good Thinking NOT Leadership

12.18.08

Creativity can be defined as problem identification and idea generation whilst innovation can be defined as idea selection, development and commercialisation.

There are other useful definitions in this field, for example, creativity can be defined as consisting of a number of ideas, a number of diverse ideas and a number of novel ideas.

There are distinct processes that enhance problem identification and idea generation and, similarly, distinct processes that enhance idea selection, development and commercialisation. Whilst there is no sure fire route to commercial success, these processes improve the probability that good ideas will be generated and selected and that investment in developing and commercialising those ideas will not be wasted.

Good Thinking NOT Leadership

All too often good thinking is sacrificed to the competitive urge to lead. With the amount of leadership material available and everyone wanting to be one, scant attention is paid to the effect this has on group productivity:

a) Leadership battles encourage competition and not collaboration. They restrict the flow of information and reduce intellectual cross-pollination, thus exacerbating path dependency, parochialism and path dependency.

b) Leaders or wannabe leaders are often more willing to maintain their position than arrive at good results.

c) Leaders or wannabe leaders are more likely to restrict the expression and thought processes of other individuals than encourage them.

d) Leaders or wannabe leaders are more likely to resist criticism of their structures, processes and methods and thus hinder improivement.

I Have Learned Some Very Powerful Spells

12.18.08

I often buy books on magic and spell casting because it interests me a great deal. I often think that I used to be into Wicca in a past life but am not 100% sure on that. Since I read a lot of these types of materials I have learned to cast some pretty powerful spells. It is really amazing to me how easy it is as well. You really don’t need to have much skill, you only need to believe that you can do it for it to work basically. That is how life is, believe and you receive.
And I have been reading a lot of books on casting spells lately and I think that I am ready to cast my first one. I wanted to prepare myself to do it first so I wouldn’t make any mistakes, I also wanted to make sure that what I was going to do was not related to black magic spells at all. Those can be tricky and shouldn’t be handled unless one really knows what they are doing. Since I am new to the art of spell casting I don’t want to dabble in that section as of yet, I will think about it later when I am well versed in spell casting.

Dream

12.17.08

Today I had a dream I was a man that was having sex with another man, but I knew that I was a women in really life. I was so aroused by what I was doing that I just thrusted harder which as you know made the other man more excited he started to make that most arousing moans and the cutest little gasp for air. He was quivering so nicely that I was almost ready to come but I held back I wanted to torture him some more just a little more. He was so aware of me at this moment. I leaned forward to lick his neck he sighs in pleasure so I pull his hair and turn his head so I can kiss him, he gasps than groans as I kiss him and I feel the jolt through me. You are so hot (I say to him) but im not done with you yet. I know this makes him so hot when I talk like this he loves it when I treat him like I just picked him up on the street. But in the dream he really is my lover and has been for years, He is my dream lover, well one half of me dream lover the sub side but I like to be topped sometimes. The top that I like is a someone that I can trust they are the only one that I can trust to stop when I say so but still gives me that feeling that they are not going to and sometimes will push it just to the edge of to far but still stop. they know that I can only take so much damage to my body or psyche I am not a fragile person but I like to feel like I am. I like to feel like I am the tiny delicate person I feel inside but only the person I will be with for the rest of me life will see this. I’m, in reality, a pretty stout person . . . . . for a woman.

Baccarat For Beginners: Free Game Tips

12.16.08

Baccarat is based on the simple premise of assembling a hand of two or three cards with a point value as close as possible to nine. Although baccarat may seem intimidating to those unfamiliar with the rules, it is, in fact, one of the easiest games to play. There is only one decision you have to make for each hand, the dealers handle the rest, playing out the hands according to strict, predetermined rules. Baccarat is also seen as a glamorous game, often played in a roped off room in many casinos.

The perfect hand consists of two cards that total nine, with the second-best hand being two cards that have a total point value of eight. These are the two “natural” hands in the game of Baccarat. If any player in the current game has a two card hand equaling a natural eight or nine then the other players may not draw a third card. The hand closest to nine always wins. When neither hand has a natural, there is no automatic winner, and additional cards are drawn to determine the outcome of the hand. The only hand that beats the natural eight is the natural nine. If there is a tie, all bests are called off.

Aces have a value of one, picture cards (Kings, Queens, Jacks) have a value of 10 and the remaining cards keep their face value. If your hand total is in double figures, then the first figure is ignored, meaning a hand totaling 18 would count as eight. Drawing two picture cards or two tens would give you a value of zero. A draw of a picture card or a ten and an eight or nine gives you the natural hands and no further cards would be drawn in this case with the natural hand being declared the winner.

The banker deals three hands of two cards each, face down. These hands are for two players, one to the right and one the left of the banker, plus his own hand. Other players at the table may bet on either hand or both to beat the banker’s hand. If a player declares “banco”, it means they are betting the total value of the bank’s funds and all other bets are withdrawn.

If either player has a count less than eight or nine, he may stand or get one more card face up. The player must stand on six or seven and must draw on four or less.
